Job Title: Data Governance Lead

Location: NYC, NY (Onsite)

Job Responsibilities:

• Data Governance Framework - Design, implement and continuous improvement of the enterprise data gov. framework, policies and standards.
• Align data governance activities with regulatory requirements (e.g. GDPR, BCBS 239, DORA, FCA).
• Data Quality Management: Define data quality dimensions (accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, validity, uniqueness) and associated KPIs by Implementing and overseeing the data quality rules within ETL/ELT pipelines and source systems. 
• Metadata and Data Lineage: By managing the integration with data cataloguing and metadata management tooling (e.g. Collibra, Alation, Atlan, Informatica) any tool is okay to have. 

Required Skills:

• Strong understanding of data privacy and protection regulation (GDPR, CCPA, or applicable local law).
• Awareness of industry-specific regulatory frameworks (eg BCBS 239 for financial services).
• Understanding of data risk management and how governance supports enterprise risk frameworks.
• Stakeholder management, Master Data and Reference Data Management, Risk, Compliance and Audit
• Governance Frameworks, Proficiency in data quality tooling compatible with Databricks, SQL and understanding of MDM. 

Required Education:  At least a Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Software/Electronics Engineering, Information Systems or closely related field is required.
