Description
We are looking for a skilled Network Engineer to be onsite in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing network systems while ensuring security and reliability across all platforms. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the success of a manufacturing organization by maintaining and enhancing critical infrastructure. This person will need to be comfortable with GUI-based, intent-based, or automated network management.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and administer networks, security systems, and associated hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Recommend and implement upgrades to improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.
Configure, install, upgrade, and support LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and Wireless devices
Design and deliver solutions to address current and future network and security needs.
Diagnose and resolve advanced network and security issues while suggesting improvements.
Create and maintain detailed documentation for systems, procedures, and processes.
Plan and manage network capacity to ensure efficient resource utilization and system expansion.
Enhance network monitoring capabilities across the entire environment.
Collaborate with vendors and support teams to integrate new technologies and expand system functionality.
Provide on-site support at manufacturing plants for installations and troubleshooting.
Act as an escalation point for complex network-related service desk inquiries.
Requirements
Proficiency in Cisco Routers and Cisco Networking.
Proven experience in configuring, deploying, and supporting enterprise network environments.
Experience with Palo Alto Firewalls and Cisco ASA.
Strong knowledge of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP).
Experience with Juniper Mist (or similar platforms).
Comfortable with a modern, cloud-driven, AI-powered interface like Mist.
Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in network and security systems.
Ability to collaborate effectively with vendors and cross-functional teams.
Solid understanding of system scalability and resource optimization.
Excellent documentation and communication skills.
