Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in Terraform and Ansible to design, build, and manage scalable infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform). The ideal candidate will be responsible for automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment processes to ensure reliable and efficient cloud operations.
This role focuses on implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to provision and manage Google Cloud Platform resources, including GKE, Compute Engine, networking, and IAM configurations.
Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure Automation
- Design and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform to provision and manage Google Cloud Platform resources.
- Develop reusable Terraform modules and manage state files across environments.
Configuration Management
- Use Ansible to automate system configuration, application deployments, and environment management.
- Maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and inventory management.
Cloud Infrastructure Management
- Deploy and manage Google Cloud Platform services including Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Compute Engine, networking, and IAM.
- Build scalable and secure cloud infrastructure architectures.
Containerization & Kubernetes
- Work with Docker and Kubernetes (GKE) to deploy and manage containerized applications.
- Support cluster operations, scaling, and container orchestration.
Automation & Scripting
- Develop automation scripts using Bash or Python for operational tasks, API integrations, and infrastructure management.
Version Control & Collaboration
- Use GitHub for version control, code collaboration, and infrastructure code management.
- Follow best practices for CI/CD and infrastructure deployment workflows.
Required Technical Skills
- Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) – Networking, IAM, Compute services
- Terraform – Module development, state management, infrastructure provisioning
- Ansible – Playbooks, roles, and configuration automation
- Kubernetes (GKE) and Docker
- Scripting: Bash or Python
- Version Control: GitHub
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices
