What You Will Do
We are seeking a Senior/Lead UX Researcher to support rapid-cycle usability testing and user research for digital products and experiences patient facing poducts. This role will initially focus on leading remote moderated usability assessments within sprint cycles, managing the research process end-to-end, and delivering clear, actionable insights to product, design, and strategy teams.
This is a US-based role with expected travel to the greater Kansas City area for on-site research activities. Candidates may live locally or be able to travel as needed. Travel is expected to average approximately 25% per month and may increase up to 50% depending on project needs. This is a 9-month engagement with potential to extend for an additional 6 months, with a target start date of July 1.
Job Responsibilities
* Lead remote moderated usability assessments across sprint cycles, including planning, execution, synthesis, and reporting.
* Manage end-to-end research operations, including study planning, participant recruiting, scheduling, session moderation, and stakeholder coordination.
* Conduct usability testing for digital products, applications, and related digital assets.
* Synthesize research findings into clear themes, insights, and recommendations that support product and experience decisions.
* Prepare topline reports and communicate findings to cross-functional stakeholders in a concise, actionable format.
* Partner with internal research, product, design, development, and strategy teams to align research activities with project goals.
* Participate in an initial onboarding and shadowing cycle to understand existing research operations, standards, and ways of working before operating more independently.
* Support research activities related to future plasma app experiences and future plasma/donor center innovation.
* Conduct on-site research in plasma center environments in Kansas as needed.
* As the engagement evolves, support additional research methods such as in-depth interviews, contextual inquiry, in-person studies, and research focused on physical products, services, and broader donor center experiences.
* Maintain a strong focus on execution, quality, and timely delivery within a fast-paced product development environment.
Qualifications
* 5-7 years of UX research experience preferred; candidates with 3-5 years of strong, hands-on experience may also be considered.
* Demonstrated experience leading moderated usability testing, especially in rapid sprint-cycle environments.
* Strong ability to independently plan, recruit, schedule, conduct, synthesize, and report on research studies.
* Experience supporting digital product research, including apps, web-based tools, or other digital experiences.
* Familiarity with research operations, participant coordination, scheduling logistics, and study documentation.
* Ability to translate research findings into practical, actionable recommendations for product and design teams.
* Experience with additional qualitative research methods such as interviews, contextual inquiry, field research, or in-person testing is a plus.
* Comfortable conducting research in both remote and on-site environments.
* Able to travel to the greater Kansas City area as needed for on-site research activities.
* Strong communication, facilitation, synthesis, and stakeholder management skills.
* Self-directed, organized, adaptable, and comfortable working in a highly collaborative consulting environment.
* Experience in healthcare, life sciences, donor services, patient/member experiences, or regulated environments is a plus.
