Overview.

We are seeking a Cloud Data Architect to join our team, responsible for migrating enterprise data platforms to the cloud and building scalable, secure, data-driven solutions using Microsoft Azure.

Responsibilities

Serve as a technical subject matter expert, solving complex business and data engineering challenges
Design, develop, and optimize cloud-based data pipelines using Azure PaaS technologies
Migrate existing on-prem data platforms to the cloud
Build and support API-driven data solutions using Azure Functions (Python)
Evaluate technology effectiveness through requirements gathering, testing, and analysis
Ensure security, compliance, and governance are embedded in all solutions
Collaborate with engineering, analytics, and business teams to deliver high-quality data products
Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize large-scale, multi-threaded data applications

Required Qualifications

Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (now or in the future)
Strong commitment to security and compliance best practices
Experience developing and supporting APIs using Azure Functions (Python)
3+ years of experience with Python and/or Azure SQL
3+ years of data engineering experience with large and complex datasets
Strong expertise in SQL writing, tuning, and performance optimization
Experience with full lifecycle development and end-to-end testing
Hands-on experience with Git, Jenkins, or similar CI/CD tools
Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field
Experience with Big Data technologies and NoSQL databases
Hands-on experience with Azure, AWS, or other public cloud platforms
Experience with Azure services such as Databricks, Event Hub, Data Factory, Synapse, Delta Lake, Cosmos DB, DevOps
Prior experience leading large-scale projects
Familiarity with Agile methodologies
Rental, vehicle, or mobility domain experience (plus, not required)
