Job Title: AWS Security Architect

Location: Plano, TX / Reston, VA (Hybrid 3 days onsite)
Mode: Customer-facing (F2F interaction mandatory)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced AWS Security Architect to design, implement, and manage secure cloud architectures on AWS. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud security best practices, hands-on experience with AWS services, and the ability to engage directly with customers to drive secure solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement secure, scalable AWS cloud architectures.
  • Define and enforce security best practices, policies, and governance frameworks.
  • Conduct security risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability management.
  • Implement IAM, encryption, network security, and monitoring solutions in AWS.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, engineering, and business teams to embed security into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Provide customer-facing support, including solution discussions and security reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
  • Lead incident response and security investigations in AWS environments.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud security services (IAM, GuardDuty, Security Hub, Shield, WAF, KMS, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of cloud security architecture, networking, and data protection.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation/Terraform).
  • Knowledge of container security (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills with prior customer-facing experience.

Certifications (Mandatory)

  • AWS Certified Security Specialty (mandatory)
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate/Professional)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in hybrid cloud or multi-cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with SIEM tools and security automation.
  • Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
