We are on the hunt for an experienced and dynamic Permanent Operations Manager to join our progressive Engineering team. This role will require you to lead operations, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency are met. You will be responsible for overseeing the production processes, coordinating all production activities and operations, and ensuring that all operations run smoothly and in line with the company's goals and objectives. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all operations within the manufacturing facility, ensuring production meets health and safety standards.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and practices to improve operational efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity, quality, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other department managers to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, or objectives.
  • Monitor production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures.
  • Increase production, assets capacity, and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and maintaining current quality standards.
  • Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
  • Review performance against operating plans and standards; provide reports and interpret results of operations to all levels of management.
  • Be responsible for production output, product quality, and on-time shipping.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing techniques and principles.
  • Solid knowledge of production management and industrial standards.
  • Evidence of ability to solve complex problems effectively and make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage, delegate, and motivate teams.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to lead multiple projects.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and ERP software.
  • Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and people skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in the manufacturing industry.
