Senior DevSecOps Engineer

we have a position for Senior DevSecOps Engineer on W2 at NYC.

Title:Senior DevSecOps Engineer (Cloud & Platform Operations)
Loc : NYC (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 Months+

We are looking for a hands-on Senior DevSecOps Engineer to own the design, security, and reliable operation of our AWS and Kubernetes 
environments. You will lead automation, security, and incident response, and mentor engineers across the team.

Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and operate AWS infrastructure (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, EBS, RDS, ELB) using multi-account patterns.
Own the reliability and security of Kubernetes/EKS clusters and workloads.
Build reusable Terraform modules and enforce Infrastructure as Code standards.
Lead production troubleshooting, incident response, and root cause analysis.
Design monitoring and alerting with CloudWatch, Datadog, or similar tools.
Automate operational tasks with Python and Bash.
Improve CI/CD pipelines and embed security checks (SAST, SCA, secrets, container, and IaC scanning).
Define and enforce AWS security best practices, including least-privilege IAM, encryption with KMS, secrets management, network hardening
and GuardDuty, Security Hub, and CloudTrail monitoring.
Lead vulnerability management, OS patching, and triage of Wiz and Snyk findings.
Apply Kubernetes security standards, including RBAC, IRSA, Pod Security Standards, and network policies.
Support audit and compliance activities (SOC 2, CIS).
Mentor engineers, review code, and document runbooks and standards.

Must-Have Skills
7+ years of DevOps, Cloud, or Security experience, including 3+ years in a senior role.
Deep AWS experience, including AWS security best practices.
Strong production experience with Kubernetes/EKS.
Advanced Terraform and Infrastructure as Code skills.
Strong Linux, networking (VPC, DNS, load balancers), and troubleshooting skills.
Python and Bash scripting.
CI/CD experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI) with security scanning integration.
Experience with Wiz, Snyk, SonarQube, or Qualys.
Proven incident leadership and ability to mentor others.
