Hybrid 2 weeks per month onsite in Merrimack, NH

The Common Platform Solutions team within Asset Management provides standardized technology stacks, frameworks, and reusable components that accelerate delivery. This role reports to a director and focuses on innovation and new development that improves client and customer experiences. Team members work in agile sprints, use JIRA for execution, and deliver production-quality solutions on a regular cadence.

Rate: $55.00 to $60.00/hr. w2

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and test software applications and system changes that address business needs.
  • Deliver well engineered and well tested solutions into production on a regular cadence using Agile practices.
  • Contribute code for new development on a recently created application and support end-to-end solution design.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and automation on the cloud with Jenkins and related tooling.
  • Define development strategy, standards, and support tools while ensuring compliance to best practices.
  • Migrate code deliverables and solutions through development, test, and production environments.
  • Collaborate with architecture and technology partners to review and improve existing systems.
  • Develop technical and partner-facing documentation.
  • Identify, elevate, monitor, and mitigate project risks.
  • Participate effectively in daily scrums, team ceremonies, and project meetings using JIRA for work management.
  • Engage in innovation activities, code and design reviews, and exploration of emerging technologies.

Experience Requirements:

  • 7+ years of software development experience with Java and Spring technologies, including Spring Boot.
  • Expertise with RESTful API design and development.
  • Hands-on DevOps experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Jenkins and GitHub.
  • Proficiency with Kubernetes and AWS EKS for containerized workloads.
  • Experience deploying applications independently without a dedicated DevOps team.
  • AWS experience including Lambda, CloudFormation, EC2, S3, SNS, IAM Roles, KMS, and CloudWatch.
  • Experience with Database/RDBMS and Snowflake for data warehousing.
  • Full-stack knowledge or exposure to tools such as Eclipse, Core Java, J2EE, JDK 15+, Angular, Python, UNIX/Linux, Jenkins, GitHub, JIRA, Datadog, Artifactory, Maven, SonarQube, JUnit, Mockito, Karate, and Confluence.
  • Familiarity with mainstream testing tools such as Cucumber or Karate.
  • Basic knowledge of security practices including cryptography, key management, and application security.
  • Experience with serverless architectures is a plus.
  • Angular framework exposure and ability to connect endpoints (preferred).
  • Python familiarity at a beginner level, able to read and understand code (preferred).
  • UNIX/Linux understanding for legacy application interactions (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with GenAI-powered coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot, Google Gemini, or Amazon Q (preferred).
