Job Summary

 

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer with strong hands-on experience designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and optimizing enterprise WAN infrastructure, with a primary focus on Cisco networking technologies.

 

The consultant will support WAN connectivity across geographically distributed locations, ensure network reliability and performance, and provide technical leadership on complex network initiatives.

 

Required Skills

5+ years of hands-on enterprise Network Engineering experience

Extensive WAN design, implementation, and support experience

Cisco DNA Center (DNAC)

Network monitoring and performance management

SolarWinds or similar network monitoring tools

Network security and WAN security

Network capacity planning and performance optimization

Enterprise network troubleshooting

 

Responsibilities

Design, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise WAN architectures.

Configure and troubleshoot Cisco WAN technologies including MPLS, VPLS, SD-WAN, DMVPN, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, IPsec, and QoS.

Analyze existing WAN infrastructure and recommend improvements to increase performance, bandwidth efficiency, and reliability.

Monitor WAN utilization, traffic patterns, latency, and network performance.

Troubleshoot complex routing, connectivity, and performance issues.

Implement network security controls and best practices across WAN environments.

Perform network capacity planning and forecast future bandwidth requirements.

Work with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical network solutions.

Support and mentor junior network engineers.

Document network configurations, topology diagrams, procedures, and technical solutions.

Participate in network upgrades, migrations, and optimization projects.

Provide technical leadership during complex network incidents and projects.

Stay current with emerging WAN, Cisco, SD-WAN, and network security technologies.

 

Preferred Qualifications

CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent certification

Cisco SD-WAN / Viptela experience

Cisco ISE experience

Cisco DNAC / DNA Center experience

SolarWinds experience

Experience with large enterprise/global WAN environments

Strong understanding of network security principles

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
