We are looking for a hands-on Google Cloud Platform Data Governance professional to design, implement, and maintain enterprise data governance frameworks leveraging Google Cloud Platform''s native tooling. This role sits at the intersection of technology and business, requiring someone who can both configure governance infrastructure and partner with stakeholders to drive adoption of data standards across the organization.
Responsibilities
Implement and manage data governance solutions using Google Cloud Platform Dataplex and Knowledge Catalog, including lakes, zones, asset registration, and data quality rules
Define and enforce metadata management, data classification, and tagging policies across enterprise data assets
Build and maintain a curated data catalog, ensuring business glossary alignment and schema documentation are current and accessible
Establish data lineage tracking and data quality monitoring frameworks with clear remediation workflows
Partner with data stewards, domain owners, and business stakeholders to define governance standards and drive organizational adoption
Manage data access controls and entitlements using Google Cloud Platform IAM in alignment with governance policies
Produce governance documentation, policies, and data domain ownership artifacts
Required Skills
Intermediate to Advanced hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, including Dataplex, Knowledge Catalog, BigQuery, Cloud Storage, and IAM
Intermediate experience with metadata management, data lineage, data classification, and data quality frameworks
Advanced ability to define and own governance policies end-to-end
Advanced stakeholder engagement skills — ability to translate technical governance concepts for business audiences
Preferred
Experience in data lake architecture and design
Familiarity with enterprise data governance frameworks (DAMA, DCAM, or similar)
