Job Title: Senior Project Manager - Validation
Start Date: ASAP
Job Type: Contract - 12 months (possible extensions based on performance)
Pay Rate: $80-90/hr
Location: Clayton, NC
Schedule: Onsite, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Summary:
The Senior Project Manager - Validation is responsible for leading complex, multi-disciplinary pharmaceutical projects to successful completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and in alignment with quality and regulatory requirements.

This role oversees both project and program-level initiatives, including capital projects, process improvements, and validation efforts. The Senior Project Manager will collaborate with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to define project scope, manage execution, and drive strategic alignment with business objectives.

Responsibilities:
* Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and meeting all quality and compliance requirements.
* Define, refine, and manage project scope, business cases, and measurable project benefits.
* Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations.
* Oversee financial accountability including purchase orders, budgeting, cost forecasting, and invoicing.
* Monitor project performance, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
* Provide regular project updates, reporting, and presentations to leadership and stakeholders.
* Manage vendor selection processes including bid package development and evaluation.
* Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure effective project execution.
* Lead program-level initiatives, managing multiple related projects across multi-year timelines.
* Ensure alignment with broader organizational goals, site strategies, and global programs.
* Partner with business units to develop project roadmaps and long-term strategic plans.
* Coach and mentor project management team members.
* Drive continuous improvement and implement best practices in project execution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Bachelor"s degree in Engineering, Business, Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
* Minimum of 8 years of project management experience.
* Proven experience leading complex capital projects and change management initiatives (process improvement, automation, product transfer).
* Strong financial and project accountability experience.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
* Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
* Pharmaceutical industry project experience is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Advanced project management training or certifications.
* Knowledge of Lean principles in manufacturing environments.
* Experience with project scheduling and planning tools.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
* Experience mentoring and developing team members.
* Ability to work effectively in cross-cultural environments.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
