SAP GTS Functional Analyst / Solution Architect
Location: Austin, TX – 5 days onsite

Must-Have Skills

Skill 1: 2–3 years of E4H experience, including at least 1 end-to-end GTS E4H implementation
Skill 2: 6–8 years of SAP configuration experience in Sales and Distribution (SD) and Global Trade Services (GTS), including 2–3 full life-cycle implementations
Skill 3: Strong knowledge of Global Trade Services (GTS) customs declaration documents and associated forms (e.g., commercial invoices)

Good-to-Have Skills

Skill 1: Experience designing enhancements and continuous improvement projects involving Global Trade Services (GTS), including:

  • Compliance Management (Sanctioned Party Lists, Embargo, Legal Control)
  • Customs Management
  • Integration points with SAP ERP

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze business requirements and convert them into functional and technical specifications
  • Design cross-functional solutions to meet complex business requirements
  • Participate in new technology evaluations
  • Configure and/or code software applications as needed
  • Prepare and execute testing (unit, integration, performance, user acceptance) and data conversions using standard tools and established processes

Functional Knowledge

  • Demonstrate conceptual and practical expertise in own discipline and basic knowledge of related disciplines

Business Expertise

  • Knowledge of best practices and how one functional area integrates with others

Problem Solving

  • Solve complex problems, take new perspectives on existing solutions, and exercise judgment based on analysis of multiple information sources

Interpersonal Skills

  • Explain complex or sensitive information and work to build consensus

 

Education and Experience

Must-Have:

  • 2–3 years of E4H experience, including at least 1 end-to-end GTS E4H implementation
  • 6–8 years of SAP configuration experience in SD and GTS, including 2–3 full life-cycle implementations
  • Experience designing enhancements and continuous improvement projects involving GTS Compliance Management (Sanctioned Party Lists, Embargo, Legal Control) and Customs Management, including integration with SAP ERP
  • Strong knowledge of GTS customs declaration documents and associated forms (e.g., commercial invoices)
  • Strong knowledge of GTS Intrastat reporting and SPL screening
  • Experience with U.S. Automated Export System (AES) filing using GTS and broker interfaces
  • Experience configuring and enhancing SD Billing, Pricing, and billing copy control in SAP ECC
  • Knowledge of Order-to-Cash processes: sales order configuration, pricing, delivery processing, and warehouse management
  • Experience promoting changes to Production and following associated methodologies, including writing and executing test plans
  • Strong analytical and teamwork skills; able to write specifications, prioritize, and multitask
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to drive deliverables to closure
  • Self-starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal guidance
  • Ability to present and articulate functional solutions
  • Ability to prepare functional specifications and coordinate with cross-functional teams
