Position Summary
Client is looking for an outcome-driven Mid Level to Senior Architect to join our mission to create innovative digital solutions that make health care more accessible, more integrated, and more reliable for more people, both online and in our stores.
As Architect, you will be working with design, research, product management and engineering teams and work with other team members to translate business requirements into architecture runways for application development.
Leveraging your expertise in key technologies, you will help build products that will bring about the change in the healthcare industry and improve the lives of hundreds of millions of people.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on consumer facing Cloud Architect application development experience
- Of which, 5+ Years in architecture, including leading technical architecture initiatives for multiple value streams e.g. Agile Release Train
- Expert understanding of architectural methodologies and best practices.
- Experience and proficiency with modern languages, frameworks, and technologies.
- Significant experience in:
- Design of server applications, encompassing APIs and micro-services, containers, databases, cloud infrastructures, and cloud services
- Design and development of complex systems/user interfaces
- Distributed computing architectures, including race conditions, parallelism, and concurrency control
- Modern API patterns, including RESTful APIs.
- Recognized ability to explain highly complex technical architectures, designs and issues clearly and understandably to all constituents.
Required Skills
- Significant experience with systems integration.
- Experience with the design and development of complex systems; employs a disciplined and rigorous approach.
- Adept at requirements analysis, estimation, systems and application design, and testing.
- Familiarity with popular Design Patterns.
- Excellent collaboration, influencing, and consensus-building skills. Ability to work with persons in all job functions (e.g. product, program, developers, etc).
- Excellent verbal and written communications.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities with minimal supervision. Self-directed.
- A great team player, with demonstrable experience delivering superior software products via Agile methodologies.
- Experience on an Agile team.
- Experience with modern languages, frameworks, and technologies such as Java, JavaScript, Node.js, messaging queuing infrastructures, as well as cloud and on-premise infrastructure and services.
- Experience with distributed computing architectures, including race conditions, parallelism, and concurrency control.
- Meeting facilitation with stakeholders, partners and team.
Desired Skills
- A proven track record working as part of a team on large/complex systems.
- Architectural/technical experience with cloud native especially Azure Cloud and their platform as a service offerings.
- Experience with RDBMS and/or NoSQL databases (i.e. MongoDB). Understands the benefits and trade-offs of both. Familiar with normalization and denormalization, sharding, and other data-centric patterns.
- Architectural/technical experience with Gen AI (RAG frameworks, Vector DB searches and embeddings, etc.) and/or Conversational AI (IBM WatsonX, Google Dialog Flow, etc.).
- Experience designing REST APIs that facilitate a strong developer experience or simplify systems integration.
- Experience with SAFe Software Development Principles.
- Experience with distributed caching solutions; understands the factors that enable effective caching.
