Description
We are looking for a Regional Sales Engineer to lead revenue growth efforts within a designated geographic region. This role blends technical expertise with sales proficiency to support OEMs, contract manufacturers, and distribution partners throughout the design and procurement process. The ideal candidate will excel at identifying opportunities, building relationships, and driving results in the electronic components market.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to meet or exceed revenue goals within the assigned region.
Monitor sales performance and market dynamics to uncover new opportunities for growth.
Build and maintain effective systems for managing accounts, assessing representatives, and conducting customer training.
Provide detailed reports to senior management on regional performance, challenges, and proposed solutions.
Represent the company at industry events to showcase products and strengthen customer connections.
Partner with Inside Sales and Field Applications Engineers to support design-in projects and secure design wins.
Submit timely and accurate reports on sales activities, market evaluations, and territory updates.
Stay updated on technical knowledge, competitor strategies, and industry trends to enhance sales effectiveness.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field) or equivalent technical experience.
3-7 years of experience in technical sales, ideally within electronic components or interconnect products.
In-depth knowledge of component sales processes, including design-in and production cycles.
Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
Familiarity with custom or semi-custom components and their quoting/design processes.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
Willingness to travel regionally (approximately 25-50%).
