Are you a passionate Firmware Engineer who loves to design, develop, and optimize firmware for cutting-edge technology? We are looking for an experienced, innovative, and dedicated individual to join our dynamic team. As a Permanent Firmware Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that will shape the future of the Engineering industry. This role involves working closely with both hardware and software engineering teams to design, develop, and debug firmware for our next-generation products. You will also play a vital role in ensuring the performance, quality, and responsiveness of our applications.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, develop, code, test, and debug system software for our products.
2. Review code and design, and provide constructive feedback to improve software quality.
3. Analyze and enhance efficiency, stability, and scalability of system resources.
4. Integrate and validate new product designs.
5. Support software QA and optimize performance.
6. Provide post-production support when necessary.
7. Interface with hardware design and development.
8. Assess third party and open-source software.
9. Lead and mentor junior engineers to develop their skills and knowledge.
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
2. Minimum 5+ years of experience in firmware engineering.
3. Proficiency with USB and CAN
4. Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes.
5. Solid programming experience in C or C++.
6. Familiarity with software configuration management tools, defect tracking tools, and peer review.
7. Knowledge of different microcontrollers and their architecture.
8. Excellent knowledge of OS coding techniques, IP protocols, interfaces, and hardware subsystems.
9. Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components.
10. Strong documentation and writing skills.
11. Ability to work in a team as well as independently.
12. Strong problem-solving skills.
