Senior Workday HCM Functional Consultant

We are seeking a to support Senior Workday Functional Consultant HR business stakeholders with Workday configuration, enhancements, troubleshooting and ongoing application support. The consultant will translate HR requirements into effective Workday solutions and work closely with HR, IT, implementation partners and other vendors.

Responsibilities

• Partner with HR stakeholders to understand business processes, pain points and enhancement requests.
• Configure and support Workday Core HCM functionality.
• Review existing business processes and recommend Workday best practices.
• Configure business processes, approval workflows, condition rules, security roles, notifications and reporting.
• Support employee lifecycle processes, including hire, job change, transfer, promotion and termination.
• Gather requirements and translate them into functional specifications and user stories.
• Support Workday releases, regression testing, UAT, defect resolution and production deployment.
• Troubleshoot functional issues and coordinate technical or integration-related work with the appropriate teams.
• Maintain configuration documentation, process flows and support procedures.
• Work with implementation partners and internal teams to deliver enhancements and new functionality.
• Provide user training and post-production support.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of HR technology or Workday functional experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Workday Core HCM.
• Experience configuring Workday business processes, approvals, condition rules, security and reports.
• Strong understanding of HR processes and the employee lifecycle.
• Experience gathering requirements directly from HR business leaders.
• Experience supporting UAT, releases, production issues and enhancements.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with technical and offshore teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with one or more additional Workday modules, such as Recruiting, Compensation, Benefits, Talent, Absence, Time Tracking or Payroll.
• Experience with Workday integrations, EIBs, calculated fields and custom reporting.
• Previous Workday implementation or post-production support experience.
• Experience working in a global enterprise environment.
• Workday certification is preferred but not mandatory.
