Our enterprise-level client is seeking to add a Data Center Technician to the team in New York City. Please see below for full details-

Job Notes:
-- 6+-month contract / extensions and perm conversion are possible but not guaranteed
-- Onsite in New York City - 10019
-- Drug & Background required.
-- Ideal candidate will have one year of data center and structured cabling experience.

Pay Rate = $27 w2 per hour + benefits

Responsible for executing deployment activities at appropriate business-controlled sites, including installations, decommissioning, moves, changes, and deletions in accordance with appropriate business standards and procedures.

Responsibilities:
Undertake a range of technical work activities either remotely or at a customer site to meet business and customer requirements.
Required to have a comprehensive knowledge of their working environment, regional offices, TER/TR, Technology rooms, ICDC's that are governed and supported by the appropriate business.
Coordinate with appropriate business internal technology teams to meet business and customer requirements.
Document and report on work completed to ensure compliance with company and customer procedures.
Escalate issues in line with company processes to ensure customer demands are met.
Evaluate escalations and action appropriately to ensure customer demands are met.
Provide customer service to internal and external customers to ensure consistent experience.
Ability to adapt quickly to dynamic team environments to maintain consistent effective contribution.
Identify own development needs in line with business objectives.
Ensure Department/Contract meets SLA performance targets.
Maintain and improve customer satisfaction levels.
Understand and adhere to policies and procedures.
Keep skills up to date with IT industry standards as appropriate to the role/Contract.
Attain and maintain accreditations as appropriate to the role/Contract.

Role Requirements:
Minimum 1-year firsthand experience, within the structured cabling industry.
Good understanding of Structured Cabling Solutions.
Experienced in the use of Fluke test equipment and fault diagnosis.
Proficient in all industry standard patching requirements.
Installation of Network and Server hardware.
Configuration of iLO and OOB.
Proficient MS Office knowledge.

Duties:
Monitor and respond to Service Requests made via appropriate business Service Management (ServiceNow).
Break-Fix Services, upon receipt of an Incident & Work Request, shall promptly investigate and resolve such request tickets.
Monitor regional help desk(s), providing good customer experience and always seek to resolve any issues promptly and effectively.
Update designated configuration management database (CMDB) if a configuration item is replaced as part of an Incident/Work Request.
Perform Installs, Moves, Adds, Deletions and Changes ( "IMACDs "), ensure that all IMACDs are facilitated in accordance with the appropriate business Technical Change Management Process.
Ensure that all IMACDs are facilitated and evaluated in accordance with appropriate business technical design Standards.
Engage & assist local Logistics & Administration to facilitate Change Requests.
Participate in Change Request meetings with stakeholders on forthcoming project integration schedules and testing for IMACDs.
Update designated configuration management database (CMDB) if a configuration item is replaced as part of a complete Change Request.
Required to perform 4-eye monitoring for individuals within the appropriate business organization that require access to appropriate business-controlled rooms & space.
May be required to monitor access & deliveries to a specific Third-Party site.
Oversee, assist and in rare cases coordinate scheduled regional Planed Power events.
Update physical inventories of local configuration items, Rerform scanning of rooms and spaces that come under their control. All scanned information will be packaged up and imported into Asset Point.
Assist the contract financial team to compile quotations for regional ( "IMACDs "), this may include technical terminology and site knowledge.
