Role Overview
This position is for a TigerGraph Database Administrator (DBA) responsible for the design, implementation, administration, and support of TigerGraph (NoSQL) environments. The role ensures high availability, performance optimization, and operational stability of enterprise graph database platforms. The DBA will automate operational processes, manage patching, and support development, test, and production platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain TigerGraph database environments, including patching and upgrades.
- Perform database provisioning and lifecycle management.
- Monitor system performance and proactively resolve performance bottlenecks.
- Manage and execute backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.
- Provide production support, including incident management and root cause analysis.
- Implement and enforce security controls such as access management and encryption.
- Support application teams in query tuning, schema design, and data modeling.
- Automate operational processes using scripting languages like Shell and Python.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including application, infrastructure, and security.
- Maintain high availability configurations and ensure system resilience.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- Proven experience as a Database Administrator with strong hands-on experience in TigerGraph platform administration.
- Experience with TigerGraph installation, configuration, patching, upgrades, and supporting production environments.
- Knowledge of backup/recovery strategies, DR planning, and vulnerability remediation.
- Experience with performance monitoring, tuning techniques, and automating DBA tasks.
- Familiarity with handling production incidents and on-call support.
Technical Skills:- Proficiency in Shell, Python, or similar scripting languages.
- Strong understanding of graph data modeling (vertices, edges, relationships) and GSQL query language.
- Strong Linux/Unix administration skills.
- Understanding of distributed systems, clustering concepts, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with TigerGraph GraphStudio and its ecosystem tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with other NoSQL databases, such as Neo4j.
- Exposure to financial services or other regulated environments.
- Experience implementing role-based access controls (RBAC).
