EMC Test Engineer to support compliance testing, debugging, and certification activities for electronic systems in regulated industries such as
consumer electronics, medical devices, automotive, or aerospace. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with
EMC/EMI compliance testing, Python programming in Linux environments, and the ability to troubleshoot complex electromagnetic compatibility issues.
Must-Have Technical / Functional Skills - Minimum 5 years of EMC experience in consumer electronics, medical devices, automotive, or aerospace industries
- Proficiency in Python programming
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with EMC compliance test methodologies
- Minimum 3 years of experience working in a Linux terminal environment, including:
- Executing commands and scripts
- Compiling source code
- Running automation and test programs
Preferred Skills & Experience - Familiarity with international EMC regulations and standards, including but not limited to:
- CISPR
- IEC / EN
- ETSI
- ISO
- FCC
- Strong understanding of EMC fundamentals, including:
- Emissions and immunity
- Electrostatic Discharge (ESD)
- Automotive transients
- EMC mitigation techniques
- Expertise in EMC debugging techniques
- Ability to independently perform:
- Emissions testing
- Immunity testing
Roles & Responsibilities - Execute EMC compliance testing on:
- PCBAs
- Sub-assemblies
- Vehicle-level systems
- Perform:
- Radiated and conducted emissions testing
- Radiated and conducted immunity testing
- Develop and execute Python scripts for device monitoring in Linux environments
- Conduct ESD testing and transient compliance testing
- Troubleshoot and analyze non-conformance issues
- Debug EMC/EMI problems and perform root-cause analysis
- Prepare detailed and compliant EMC test reports
- Maintain the EMC laboratory and manage test equipment calibration schedules
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (hardware, firmware, mechanical, quality) to ensure product compliance
- Review and tailor EMI/EMC requirements to meet product performance goals
- Support:
- Test procedures
- Control plans
- Cost-reduction EMC evaluations
- Second-source component evaluations

- Ability to document results clearly and present findings to stakeholders

Education - Bachelor's Degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline
