Job Title Technical Business Analysis - Advisor I
About your role: We're looking for a technical business analyst passionate about delivering exciting and innovative software products that delight customers and achieve critical business objectives. You will define and drive the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for a critical product area, partnering with Engineering, Design, Data, and business stakeholders to reliably deliver measurable outcomes. You'll translate customer and business needs into clear requirements, prioritize work, make trade-offs with strong judgment, and ensure teams ship high-quality increments on a predictable cadence.
What you'll do: - Own the product roadmap and team backlog: define problems to solve, set priorities, and make scope/sequence trade-offs to maximize customer and business value.
- Translate strategy into execution-ready work by writing clear user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Accept completed work from the team, ensuring alignment with acceptance criteria and the definition of done.
- Partner with Engineering and Design to shape solutions from discovery through delivery, balancing user experience, technical feasibility, reliability, and compliance needs.
- Drive product discovery: synthesize customer feedback, stakeholder input, support insights, and data to identify opportunities and validate solutions.
- Define success metrics and outcomes; identify and establish KPIs and use measurements of those indicators to guide future investment.
- Lead agile rituals related to product ownership (backlog refinement, sprint planning, sprint reviews) and ensure stakeholders have full visibility into progress, risks, and timelines.
- Champion a high-quality bar by partnering on testing, rollout plans, documentation, and operational readiness.
- Encourage product innovation by continuously monitoring industry trends, emerging technologies and competitive offerings to inform and influence product strategy and future capabilities.
- Responsibilities listed are not intended to be all-inclusive and may be modified as necessary.
Experience you'll need to have: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a relevant field, and/or equivalent military experience.
- 7+ years of professional experience in product management, product ownership, program management, business analysis, or a related role delivering software products.
- 5+ Experience owning and prioritizing a backlog, defining requirements, and delivering features end-to-end with cross-functional teams.
- Experience working with agile development practices (e.g., Scrum/Kanban/XP) and Agile tools and frameworks (Jira, Confluence or equivalent).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience defining success metrics and using data to drive decisions and measure success.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority, and the ability to collaborate effectively with Agile cross-functional engineering teams.
Experience that would be great to have: - Experience delivering products in regulated industries (e.g., financial services), including partnering with risk, compliance, legal, or security stakeholders.
- Experience with experimentation, A/B testing, and/or customer research methodologies to validate product direction.
- Technical fluency: ability to engage in architecture and API discussions and to translate between business and engineering constraints.
- Experience driving multi-quarter roadmaps and coordinating delivery across multiple teams and dependencies.
- Ability to thrive in a political environment, influencing others and meeting diverse expectations while continuing to promote stability and a delivery focus to the product team.
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), or equivalent certification.
How you'll work: - This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
- This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment.
Benefits at Fiserv: - Fuel Your Life program to support your physical, financial, social, and emotional well-being
- Paid holidays and generous time away policies
- No-cost mental health support through Employee Assistance Programs
