Summary

A growing technology company operating in the public safety and satellite technology space is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to help support and scale its production infrastructure. This role focuses on cloud-native systems, real-time monitoring platforms, and highly reliable deployments running on AWS and Kubernetes. While the position is full-time and based onsite in Lisle, Illinois, occasional travel to the company's global offices is required.

This is a unique opportunity to join a small, globally distributed engineering team working on systems that must function 24/7 without failure. The ideal candidate enjoys ownership, working close to the metal, and collaborating across international teams. You'll gain exposure to IoT-style platforms, embedded systems, and cloud infrastructure that directly supports real-world operations, not just internal tools.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering
Strong experience with AWS in production environments
and own outcomes
Hands-on Kubernetes experience (Helm, Kustomize, k3s, etc.)
Advanced Linux systems knowledge and scripting (Bash, Python, or similar)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins or equivalent)
Comfortable participating in on-call rotations

Desired Skills & Experience

Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar)
Monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, ELK stack)
Kafka or distributed messaging systems
Experience supporting mission-critical or regulated systems
Exposure to embedded or IoT-style platforms
