Business Systems Analyst

IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide.

Our client seeks a Business Systems Analyst. This position functions as part of an Agile team with heavy understanding and usage of the Azure DevOps tool as part of the required skillset.

Tasks

·        Work with the project team and stakeholders to examine existing and future-state business processes, data, and systems. This information is used to guide the gathering of business requirements and executing test cases as they relate to the desired system functionality.

·        Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.

·        Develop process flows, use cases, and user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

·        Translate business needs into technical specifications for development teams.

·        Create test plans, test scenarios, and detailed test cases based on requirements

·        Gathering, documenting, and testing clear, unambiguous business requirements from the client.

·        Execute functional, integration, and regression testing; log and track defects.

·        Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and coordinate with business partners.

·        Validate that delivered solutions meet documented requirements and quality standards.

·        Collaborate with developers, project managers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues. Assist with system demonstrations, training materials, and production validation.

·        Ensure documentation remains accurate and updated throughout the project lifecycle.

·        Understanding the business requirements thoroughly in order to communicate business needs and system functionality to technical and non-technical stakeholders, project team members, and the user community.

·        Serves as the ScrumMaster (heavy usage of Azure DevOps tool) on projects and coordinates with the PMO’s Project Manager for artifacts/documentation needed on State of Michigan projects.

·        Clear and concise written and verbal communication is crucial to success and productivity in this role.

Location: Lansing, MI

Potential C2H in 1-2 years. s or Permanent Residents can apply. The first month of work will be on-site 5 days per week for onboarding. Resource will be working a hybrid schedule, two days a week on Tuesday/Wednesday. NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION. Will need to be onsite from day 1. Candidates must reside within 1 hour of Lansing, MI.

Contract: 1+ years

Skills Required:

·        3+ years - Azure DevOps Knowledge – or similar tool like JIRA (comfortable with creating epics/features/user stories for projects as well as moving cards through project lifecycle)

·        3+ years - Experienced with as-is/to-be processes and content creation

·        3+ years - Adept with using BA/QA tools (e.g., FIGMA, Visio)

·        Business Analyst experience

·        Understanding of BA, QA, DEV roles/responsibilities

·        Experience with creating product roadmap

·        Familiarity with Project Management Methodologies/Agile

Skills Desired – A plus to have:

Previous work experience as a QA
