Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Technical Project Manager / Scrum Master with 10+ years of experience leading enterprise software development and modernization initiatives. This role requires a strong technical background combined with excellent Agile delivery, stakeholder management, and project leadership skills.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing cross-functional engineering teams, driving complex software delivery, facilitating Scrum ceremonies, and removing delivery impediments. Prior experience in Supply Chain, B2B Integration, EDI, or Order Management systems is highly preferred.

This individual will work closely with Engineering, Product Management, Architecture, QA, DevOps, and Business stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions while ensuring predictable execution, transparency, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Project Management

• Lead end-to-end delivery of multiple enterprise software development projects.

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, schedules, risks, and dependencies.

• Coordinate activities across Engineering, Product Management, Architecture, QA, DevOps, Infrastructure, and Business teams.

• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, resource planning, and delivery commitments.

• Drive issue resolution, risk mitigation, and dependency management across multiple teams.

• Prepare executive-level project status reports, dashboards, and steering committee presentations.

• Ensure alignment between business objectives and technical implementation.

• Collaborate with architects to understand technical designs and help drive execution.

• Track project KPIs including schedule variance, sprint velocity, defect trends, release readiness, and delivery predictability.

• Coordinate production releases, deployment readiness, and post-release activities.

• Support vendor coordination, third-party integrations, and external stakeholder communication.

Scrum Master Responsibilities

• Serve as Scrum Master for one or more Agile development teams.

• Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, Backlog Refinement, and Release Planning.

• Coach teams on Agile principles, Scrum best practices, and continuous improvement.

• Remove impediments affecting team productivity and delivery.

• Help Product Owners maintain a healthy, prioritized product backlog.

• Monitor sprint progress, velocity, burndown, capacity, and team health.

• Promote collaboration between distributed and cross-functional teams.

• Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, quality, and continuous improvement.

• Identify process improvement opportunities and implement Agile best practices.

Technical Leadership

• Work closely with Engineering Leads and Solution Architects to understand system architecture and technical dependencies.

• Participate in technical planning sessions and architecture discussions.

• Review technical estimates and validate delivery plans.

• Understand APIs, microservices, cloud platforms, databases, integrations, and enterprise application architecture.

• Coordinate technical debt reduction initiatives and modernization efforts.

• Partner with QA and DevOps teams to improve CI/CD, automation, release management, and quality practices.

• Help identify technical risks early and facilitate resolution.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

• 10+ years of experience in Technical Project Management and Agile software delivery.

• 8+ years serving as Scrum Master for enterprise software development teams.

• Strong technical understanding of modern software architecture and development practices.

• Experience managing distributed engineering teams across multiple locations and time zones.

• Proven experience delivering large-scale enterprise applications.

• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills.

• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Technical Skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Supply Chain, Order Management, Warehouse Management (WMS), Transportation Management (TMS), ERP, or Retail domains.

• Experience with EDI (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, XML, JSON) and B2B integration platforms.

• Familiarity with common EDI transactions such as 850 Purchase Order, 855 Purchase Order Acknowledgement, 856 Advance Ship Notice (ASN), 810 Invoice, 846 Inventory Advice, and 940/945 Warehouse transactions.

• Experience with integration platforms such as TrueCommerce, SPS Commerce, IBM Sterling, OpenText, MuleSoft, Boomi, or similar.

• Experience with enterprise modernization, legacy application transformation, or cloud migration initiatives.

• Knowledge of Azure DevOps, GitHub, and release management processes.

• PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or SAFe certifications are highly desirable.
