Required Skills & Experience
The role is for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), to drive reliability, automation, observability, and performance for mission critical applications and platforms. This role blends software engineering with operational expertise to deliver stable, scalable, and resilient services, while reducing toil and shifting operations left.
Required Skills.
  • 2+ years leading, operating and performing SRE team
  • 2+ years using Autosys and Oracle
  • 2+ years supporting applications on Kubernetes / OpenShift and Google Cloud Platform
  • Linux + Oracle
  • Python scripting/automation
  • Cloud exposure (Google Cloud Platform mentioned)
  • Strong understanding of observability tools AppDynamics, ThousandEyes, and Instana, Splunk (Grafana/Dynatrace acceptable)
  • proven experience building SRE capabilities, such as:
    • Observability/monitoring strategy
    • Automation to reduce incidents/toil
    • Preventing issues before outages occur
  • Leadership + stakeholder influence is critical
    • Partner with product owners/app managers
    • Drive operational change, not just resolve tickets
  • Core focus: Monitoring & observability maturity
What You Will Be Doing
  • Work with stakeholders to define Service Level Objectives (SLO)s, Service Level Indicators (SLI)s, and error budget.
  • Build and enhance observability, telemetry, and monitoring tools.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities and reduce toil.
  • Lead and complete production readiness activities (NFRs, Permit to Operate).
  • Provide application support.
