Looking for Hands-On Cable Techs Ready to Work

We're hiring Cable Technicians with at least 6 months of real-world cable-pulling experience to support a large commercial construction site. If you've been in ceilings, pulling cable, terminating jacks, and working with fiber or Cat5/6, this is for you.
This is a hands-on, active role installing structured cabling and security systems in a fast-paced jobsite environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Pulling, terminating, testing, and splicing Cat5, Cat6, and fiber optic cable
• Terminating keystone-style jacks
• Assisting with access control and camera installations
• Installing network racks, cabinets, and related infrastructure
• Working in server rooms and IDF/MDF spaces
• Reading and working from job documents including:
  • Floor plans and equipment layouts
  • Reflected ceiling plans
  • Conduit call-outs
  • Wall elevations
  • Signal flow diagrams
  • Cable pull schedules

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 6 months' experience pulling and terminating low-voltage cable
• Comfortable working on active construction sites
• Familiar with Cat5/6 and basic fiber handling
• Able to follow drawings and directions
• Reliable, safety-minded, and willing to work as part of a crew
• Experience with access control or cameras is a plus (not required)

Physical & Job Requirements

• Regularly standing, walking, climbing, bending, crawling, and squatting
• Able to use hand and power tools safely
• Use of hands for tools, terminations, and light computer work
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• Good vision for detailed work (close-up and distance)

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Cedar Rapids, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
