We are looking for Data Engineer - Hybrid for our client in Columbus, GA

Job Title: Data Engineer

Job Location: Columbus, GA

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $48.00hr - $53.00hr

Requirement/Must Have:

  • Strong experience in ETL development and data engineering.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, Python, and PySpark.
  • Experience in data warehousing and database performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based data platforms and modern data engineering practices.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with SQL & PL/SQL Development.
  • Experience with Python Programming and PySpark.
  • Knowledge of ETL Development and Data Integration.
  • Understanding of Data Warehousing Concepts and Development.
  • Experience with Query Performance Tuning and Optimization.
  • Experience with Bitbucket/Git Version Control.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and Windsurf.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain ETL/data pipeline solutions.
  • Build scalable data processing workflows using Python and PySpark.
  • Develop and optimize SQL/PLSQL scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Design and maintain data warehouse architectures and data models.
  • Perform performance tuning and query optimization for large datasets.
  • Work with Databricks, Snowflake, and PostgreSQL environments.
  • Manage source code repositories using Bitbucket and follow CI/CD best practices.
  • Leverage AI-powered development tools to improve productivity and code quality.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and cross-functional teams to deliver data solutions.
  • Create technical documentation and support production deployments.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Databricks and Snowflake.
  • Exposure to AI Agent development and Generative AI technologies.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud services and PostgreSQL database administration.
  • Experience with Shell Scripting.
