• Pay: $ 50 /hour + optional medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match

Overview
Join a fast-paced, customer-focused application development environment supporting complex mainframe systems. This role focuses on analysis, design, development, testing, and troubleshooting of adjudication-related mainframe applications in a hybrid work setting. Candidates should be comfortable supporting time-sensitive production needs, including potential on-call responsibilities after an initial ramp-up period.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze system specifications and translate requirements into technical solutions
• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain complex mainframe application components
• Create detailed program specifications and technical documentation
• Perform unit/system testing, debug issues, and validate results using test data/files
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement fixes and enhancements
• Coordinate and support application implementations and changes
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, objectives, and solution approach

Required Skills

• Mainframe application development experience
• COBOL development
• JCL
• TSO/ISPF
• APS
• Endevor (NDVR)
• Systems testing, debugging, and production support for complex applications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience

Preferred Skills

• DB2
• IMS
• Experience supporting applications requiring time-sensitive production response
