Genesis10 is currently seeking a Big Data Cloud Engineer for a Remote position with an Agricultural Cooperative located in Inver Grove Heights, MN. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.
Pay range: $90 - $92 per hour In this role, you will join a talented application development team to create end-to-end Big Data and Data Science solutions. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and distributing data across AWS, Snowflake, and Microsoft platforms, making a measurable impact with the work you do every day.
Responsibilities: - Develop solutions related to Big Data and Data Sciences from end-to-end (data ingestion to consumption)
- Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines that will ingest, transform, and distribute data streams and/or batches within the AWS, Snowflake and Microsoft Platforms
- Identify, design, and implement process improvements for automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, and re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability
- Support and decommission legacy platforms
- Enable business strategy, lean processes, increased data velocity, and insights
- Embody a culture of continuous innovation and learning
- Adhere to programming/development standards and governance framework
- Collaborate with business, analytical teams, and data scientists to improve efficiency and help translate ad-hoc analyses into scalable data delivery solutions
- Assist with the selection and management of consultants and vendors
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to integrate innovations and products into a production system
- Support business decisions with ad hoc analysis as needed
Requirements: - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Self-motivated and self-directed
- Proven experience developing solutions in Big Data and Data Science
- Experience developing data pipelines within AWS, Snowflake, and/or Microsoft platforms
