Overview:

The organization is undertaking a large-scale Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) initiative, including the deployment of millions of smart electric and gas meters. This program is a critical step toward modernizing energy systems and improving operational efficiency.

The IT AMI Implementation Technical Architecture team is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Application Administrator to support and manage mission-critical AMI enterprise applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure AMI applications (HES, MDMS, MAMS) are implemented on time, meet specifications, and perform optimally
Manage full application lifecycle: implementation, upgrades, and post go-live support
Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability
Perform system configuration, testing, and performance tuning
Diagnose and resolve application and infrastructure issues
Collaborate with vendors for patches, upgrades, and issue resolution
Support Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning
Gather requirements and support system enhancements
Work closely with business users and IT teams for issue resolution and improvements
Maintain documentation, architecture planning, and user administration

Required Skills & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
5+ years of relevant experience in application administration
Strong experience with Windows client/server environments
Hands-on experience with scripting (PowerShell, VB Script, .NET)
Strong SQL skills including SSIS and SSRS
Experience with monitoring and performance management tools
Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
Knowledge of SDLC, IT infrastructure, and program management practices
Experience working in multi-tier, client-server, and web-based environments
Familiarity with networking, OS, virtualization, APIs, and databases
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred:

Experience with AMI systems (HES, MDMS, MAMS)
Application architecture and enterprise system design experience
Experience leading technical teams and managing projects
