Job Title: PeopleSoft and Oracle Database Admin

Location: Plano, TX (Remote)

Type: Contract

Position Overview:

  • We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Administrator and Oracle Database Administrator to support our upcoming PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 Tools upgrade to 8.62 and provide ongoing operational support.
  • The ideal candidate will have hands on expertise in People Tools upgrades, Oracle Database administration, performance troubleshooting, and end to end environment management across development, testing, and production landscapes.

Day to Day duties:

  • Perform daily administration and support of Oracle databases and PeopleSoft environments.
  • Manage routine PeopleSoft FSCM environment operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Install, configure, and maintain PeopleTools, including upgrades and environment setup.
  • Execute PeopleTools upgrades (experience with 8.62 strongly preferred).
  • Use Change Assistant and DPK (Deployment Packages) for patching, updates, and environment configuration.
  • Apply PUM (PeopleSoft Update Manager) updates and perform patch and maintenance application tasks.
  • Support and maintain components such as Tuxedo, WebLogic, Elastic/Open Search, and Application Designer.
  • Perform environment refreshes across DEV, TEST, and PROD, including cloning, data migration, and validation.
  • Troubleshoot issues across the application, web, and database tiers to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Work across Windows and Linux servers for PeopleSoft and Oracle environment administration.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to support ongoing projects and production stability.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience as an Oracle/PeopleSoft DBA
  • 5+ years of experience as an Oracle and/or PeopleSoft DBA
  • 2+ years of hands on experience as a PeopleSoft Administrator
  • 2+ years of direct PeopleTools upgrade experience (PeopleTools 8.62 exposure preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience supporting PeopleSoft FSCM environments
  • 5+ years of experience with PeopleTools installation and configuration
  • 5+ years of experience using Change Assistant
  • 5+ years working with DPKs (Deployment Packages)
  • 5+ years of experience applying PUM (PeopleSoft Update Manager) updates
  • 6+ years of experience with Application Designer
  • 5+ years of experience managing Tuxedo domains
  • 5+ years administering WebLogic application servers
  • 2+ years working with Elastic / OpenSearch
  • 5+ years performing patch application and maintenance activities
  • 5+ years executing environment refreshes across DEV, TEST, and PROD
  • 5+ years working in both Windows and Linux server environments
