Summary

We are seeking a Senior Project Manager - Design & Construction (Business Solutions) responsible for leading the execution of complex, high-risk Design & Construction (D&C) initiatives that impact enterprise Business Solutions systems and platforms. This role owns end-to-end delivery of assigned projects, ensuring solutions are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with construction schedules, operational readiness, and enterprise standards.

Duration: 12 months

Location: Indianapolis, IN - on-site 2x a week

Responsibilities

Project Delivery & Execution Leadership:

  • Lead planning, execution, and delivery of assigned D&C projects from initiation through closeout.
  • Maintain ownership of project schedules, budgets, scope, risks, and deliverables.
  • Ensure alignment between construction milestones and system readiness activities.
  • Drive accountability across vendors, internal teams, and stakeholders.

Design & Construction Integration:

  • Demonstrate fluency in design and construction terminology, workflows, and sequencing.
  • Read, interpret, and validate construction design documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Participate in design reviews, construction coordination meetings, and D&C huddles.
  • Use Bluebeam to assist in the review of drawings, support markups, and issue resolution tied to technology scope.

Risk, Issue & Dependency Management:

  • Identify and proactively manage project-level risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Escalate risks appropriately through established governance paths.
  • Partner with the Portfolio Advisor to surface risks with cross-project or portfolio impact.

Financial & Vendor Management:

  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, procurement timelines, and vendor performance.
  • Ensure alignment between funding availability, construction phasing, and system delivery activities.
  • Support financial reporting including forecasts, variance explanations, and executive summaries.

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Business Solutions stakeholders, vendors, and D&C partners.
  • Communicate project status clearly to technical, operational, and executive audiences.
  • Prepare executive-level status updates, dashboards, and decision materials.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of project management experience delivering complex technology and/or construction-integrated initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience managing projects with significant construction dependencies, system integrations, and executive visibility.
  • Familiarity with Design & Construction terminology, workflows, and sequencing (e.g., design review, construction coordination, punch lists).
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle ERP preferred), supply chain, workforce, or enterprise business application implementations.
  • Strong financial management skills including budget oversight, forecasting, and variance reporting.
  • Proven ability to manage vendors, drive accountability, and navigate complex stakeholder environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present to executive audiences clearly and concisely.
  • PMP certification preferred; equivalent project management certifications or experience considered.

  • ServiceNow - issue, risk, decision, and project tracking
  • Smartsheet - integrated schedules, dependencies, and status reporting

  • Bluebeam - design document review and markup
  • Oracle ERP (Finance, HCM) and enterprise application ecosystems
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams)
