Position Overview
  • Support and drive execution of the Operations Safety Support program across assigned sites and shift structures.
  • Partner with Operations Managers and EHS teams to ensure safety-related actions are documented, prioritized, tracked, and completed.
  • Manage incident follow-up, corrective action closure, contractor onboarding oversight, Behavioral safety audits, PSRM checklist execution, and floor safety presence.
  • Serve as the operational owner for safety execution follow-through while partnering with EHS on safety policies, regulatory requirements, and program standards.
  • Provide strong floor presence, disciplined task management, and cross-functional coordination to identify risks, remove barriers, and improve operational safety outcomes.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Support incident confirmation, initial reporting, and documentation within safety management systems.
  • Coordinate incident investigations, including fact gathering, timeline creation, root-cause support, and corrective-action development.
  • Identify, assign, and track corrective actions in partnership with Operations Managers and EHS.
  • Monitor action items through closure, including aging actions, blocked items, and escalation requirements.
  • Support pre-shift safety briefings in collaboration with EHS and Operations leadership.
  • Conduct behavioural safety audits, identify unsafe behaviours, provide coaching, and drive corrective actions.
  • Oversee contractor onboarding execution, including supervision expectations, competency verification, and 90-day monitoring.
  • Complete and coordinate PSRM checklist execution based on EHS-defined pre-production safety requirements.
  • Maintain enhanced floor presence to verify adherence to SOPs, housekeeping standards, PIT operations, and safety procedures.
  • Partner with Operations, EHS, Facilities, Maintenance, Engineering, and Learning & Development teams to resolve safety-related issues.
  • Provide regular reporting to Operations leadership on open actions, risks, escalations, safety trends, and closure performance.
 
Required Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2–4 years of experience in manufacturing operations, safety/EHS support, industrial hygiene, program management, or related fields.
  • Experience supporting production-floor operations, operational safety programs, or safety coordination activities.
  • Knowledge of safety/EHS practices including incident investigation, behavioural-based safety auditing, contractor safety management, and safety reviews.
  • Ability to work effectively on the production floor and coach teams on safe work practices.
  • Understanding of PIT operations, SOP adherence, and housekeeping standards.
  • Strong documentation skills with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple action items, prioritize tasks, and drive timely completion.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional teams including Operations, EHS, Facilities, Maintenance, Engineering, and L&D.
 
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with safety management systems.
    • Experience in manufacturing, warehouse, fulfilment, or industrial operations environments.
  • Experience conducting safety audits and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence operational teams.
  • Experience driving corrective actions and improving safety performance metrics.
 
Degree/Certification Requirements:
  • bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Operations, Safety, Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Business, or related field preferred.
