Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain Terraform modules and templates for WAF policies, security configurations, and related networking components.
• Partner with application, network, and security teams to translate WAF requirements into reusable Terraform configurations stored and versioned in GitLab.
• Contribute to and improve GitLab CI/CD pipelines for validating, testing, and deploying WAF configuration changes.
• Support teams in authoring and troubleshooting Terraform manifests for new and existing applications/hostnames.
• Ensure WAF automation follows best practices for security, reliability, observability, and auditability.
• Help document standards, patterns, and runbooks for WAF as code, enabling self-service for product teams.
Qualifications:
• Must have significant experience with WAF properties and security policy configurations
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in infrastructure automation, network engineering, or a closely related field.
• Prefer hands-on experience with Terraform for managing cloud or network infrastructure (modules, state management, workspaces, etc.).
• Practical experience with Git-based workflows (GitLab preferred), including merge requests, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Basic understanding of networking and web security fundamentals (HTTP/S, DNS, load balancing, firewalls, WAF concepts).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills; comfortable working with multiple product and platform teams.
Note: GlobalLogic estimates the starting pay range for this role to be performed remotely and the salary range will be $130,000/yr to $140,000/yr and reflects base salary only.
