A growing manufacturing organization in the Dubuque area is restructuring its Quality function and seeking a hands-on Quality Manager to set the strategy, build structure, and drive compliance across the facility.
This is not a maintenance role.
This is a leadership opportunity to shape the future of Quality at the plant level.
The Quality Manager oversees the quality control processes to ensure products meet corporate and regulatory standards. They develop and implement quality control systems, monitor production processes, and conduct regular audits to identify and correct deficiencies. Additionally, they collaborate with other departments to establish quality assurance objectives and train employees on quality control measures. Their role is crucial in maintaining high product standards and ensuring customer satisfaction.
What You ll Do
- Develop and execute the Quality vision and strategy for the Dubuque facility
- Lead and develop a team of Quality Engineers and Technicians
- Drive compliance to QMS standards (ISO / IATF)
- Strengthen supplier quality processes and corrective action systems (CAPA, RCCA)
- Implement non-conformance and error-proofing techniques
- Monitor product and process performance trends using data-driven methods (SPC, dashboards)
- Lead internal and external audits
- Champion continuous improvement and a culture of accountability
What We re Looking For
- Bachelor s degree in Engineering or technical field
- 7+ years in regulated manufacturing quality leadership
- Strong experience with QMS standards (ISO, IATF, etc.)
- Working knowledge of FMEA, DFM, RCCA, CAPA
- Experience leading teams in a plant environment
- Supplier quality and source selection experience
- Ability to influence change and drive compliance in a manufacturing culture
Nice to Have:
- ASQ certification
- Six Sigma / Lean background
- QMS implementation experience
