Multiple Openings: 8 Positions
Duration: 12+ months (Extendable)
Location: Hillsboro, OR (Onsite)
We are actively hiring L1 Data Center Technicians to support data center infrastructure operations in Hillsboro, OR. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with hands-on experience in server installation, hardware support, and rack & stack activities.
Responsibilities:
Move servers and network switches to designated installation locations.
Inspect servers and switches for physical damage before installation.
Perform smoke testing to verify server functionality.
Rack, install, and cable servers and switches according to provided wire maps.
Ensure cable management meets our client data center standards.
Coordinate with Network Administrators to verify all network connections.
Install hardware components such as NIC cards, memory, and drives.
Assist with server unboxing, staging, and preparation.
Perform inventory audits of servers, components, and consumables.
Follow established operational and safety procedures.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of hands-on Data Center Technician experience.
Experience with server installation, rack & stack, and hardware upgrades.
Knowledge of network switches, structured cabling, and cable management.
Experience installing NICs, memory, hard drives, and other server components.
Familiarity with server testing and troubleshooting.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work onsite in Hillsboro, Oregon.
