The Payroll Tax Lead is responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll tax payments, reporting, and overall payroll tax compliance across the organization. The lead oversees US and Puerto Rico payroll tax operations, stay abreast on tax regulations, and implements adjustments to maintain compliance standards. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, an in-depth understanding of payroll tax legislation, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve payroll tax procedures. This role will also support activities necessary to complete the processing of the payroll for US and Puerto Rico, including inspecting/auditing tax registers, tax filing and reporting for accuracy and yearly tax statements.

- Heavy focus on tax compliance, filings, reconciliations, and notice resolution
- Works extensively with:
- Government agencies (IRS, state agencies)
- ADP (tax vendor mandatory experience)
- Supports US + Puerto Rico payroll tax operations
- Hybrid
MUST-HAVES
- ADP experience (MANDATORY non-negotiable)
- Tax filings (quarterly, annual)
- Tax notice resolution
- Reconciliations
- Experience working with:
- IRS
- State/local tax agencies
- Experience in large organizations (30,000+ employees)
- Strong multi-state payroll tax experience (all 50 states)
- Strong understanding of US payroll tax regulations
- Experience working in Workday environment (preferred)
- Ability to work hybrid onsite in Illinois (mandatory)
