Summary
Role: WordPress Content Manager (Contract)
Project: Website Content Conversion Support
City Of Pasadena
Core Responsibilities
- Convert and format content in WordPress using established templates and standards
- Edit pages in Classic Editor (Visual and Code views)
- Apply Bootstrap-based CSS classes for layout and styling
- Use shortcodes and existing templates to structure content
- Review pages for formatting accuracy and accessibility compliance
- Perform basic image editing (resize, crop, optimize)
Required Skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow publishing standards
- Hands-on experience with WordPress content editing (Classic Editor preferred)
- Working knowledge of HTML5 and CSS fundamentals
- Familiarity with Bootstrap 4 classes
- Understanding of WordPress shortcodes
- Basic knowledge of Custom Post Types (CPTs)
- Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility standards for HTML/CSS
Preferred Skills
- Experience with WPBakery Page Builder
- Experience supporting website migrations or large content conversions
