Job Title : Learning Data & Insights Analyst

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Learning Insights & Data Analytics Contractor to support LRL Learning & Development (L&D) organization.
This role is responsible for designing and delivering impactful, story-driven dashboards and enterprise analytics solutions that measure learning effectiveness and business impact. The contractor will collaborate closely with the Data Metrics Strategy Lead and Technology Lead to enhance reporting capabilities, optimize data architecture, and advance learning analytics initiatives.
This position requires strong expertise in Power BI, data engineering, and enterprise analytics, ideally within a regulated pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Dashboard Development & Reporting
Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards demonstrating measurable business outcomes
Create visually compelling, story-driven dashboards using best practices
Support and enhance existing L&D dashboards (including Smartsheet solutions)
Ensure dashboard reliability, performance, and data accuracy
Develop user documentation and reporting guides
2. Data Engineering & Architecture
Maintain and optimize data sources, models, and ETL pipelines
Contribute to enterprise data architecture initiatives
Utilize Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Services for data integration
Develop advanced DAX queries and scalable data models
Partner with enterprise data teams to ensure alignment with governance standards
3. Learning Metrics & Analytics
Deliver analytics to measure learning effectiveness and performance outcomes
Support reporting technologies including SCORM, AICC, and xAPI
Develop and maintain metrics frameworks aligned with human performance principles
Support competency tracking and skill-based assessment initiatives
4. Technical Consultation & Stakeholder Engagement
Advise L&D stakeholders on data visualization and reporting best practices
Translate complex data into actionable insights for business leaders
Collaborate with IT and enterprise teams to implement scalable analytics solutions
5. AI-Enabled Analytics & Innovation
Leverage AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and ChatGPT to enhance analytics workflows
Develop AI-powered automation and reporting solutions
Evaluate emerging technologies to improve analytics capabilities
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Business Intelligence, Computer Science, or related field
3+ years of hands-on experience developing Power BI dashboards
Strong experience with DAX, data modeling, and ETL processes
Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Services, or similar modern data platforms
Demonstrated ability to design impactful metrics and performance dashboards
Experience working in pharmaceutical or biotechnology environments
Excellent communication skills with the ability to present insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders
