Must Haves:
- 10+ years in design/development experience
- 2+ years of hands-on cloud implementation experience

- SME level understanding of cloud design and architecture for one or more public cloud provider (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) to deliver large-scale distributed solutions across the full enterprise stack
- SME level technical skills in the following areas: Agentic AI, application and integration architecture, security and automation along with a working knowledge of IT operations
- In depth knowledge in Domain Driven Design
- Experience working with technologies that work as glue between modern apps and legacy infrastructure leveraging streaming platforms like Apache Kafka
- Ability to collaborate with cross functional and technical teams to deliver solution
- Experience in enterprise development tools and methodologies (XP, Agile) including DevSecOps and DataOpsExperience in enterprise development tools and methodologies (XP, Agile) including DevSecOps and DataOps
- Hands-on technologists with coding skills and proficient in modern technology stacks (Cloud, Agentic AI, DevSecOps, Kafka etc.) to develop prototypes and POCs
- Ability to solve business problems using AI/ML (Including Gen AI) and Robotics Process Automation
- Understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database technologiesUnderstanding of both SQL and NoSQL database technologies

- Cradle to Grave Solution Leadership: Ultimate accountability and oversight for driving solutions for key strategic initiatives from cradle to grave for a given domain by providing leadership and oversight to engineers and application architects who are intimately familiar with the application architectures within their specific domain.
- Provide technology leadership, solution oversight, and guidance to ensure that the solution adheres to Pharmacy Services Architecture Guiding Principles and standards while maximizing reuse of technology assets.
·Buy vs Build Analysis: In depth experience in performing Buy vs Build analysis based on the qualitative and quantitative analysis across the available options to provide a final recommendation based on the rationale
· Architecture and design reviews: Play a key leadership role in architecture design reviews and identify gaps and recommend design changes. Actively lead and participate in the Architecture community to drive modernization opportunities for the advancement of PBM technology while keeping in mind the complexities of our IT landscape
· Develop Reference architecture and implementation: Providing leadership, coaching and guidance to App Dev, Technology Services and Solutions and EA to develop/assemble PBM-applicable reference architectures for cloud-native applications to be applied to PBM apps targeted for refactor and optimization.
Value Pool Rationalization: Rationalize portfolio at the value pool level by working with value pool Leaders and the Portfolio Management Team
· Proof of concept technology support: Lead and drive proofs-of-concept and technology deep-dives specific to partner technologies
· “Roll up your sleeves and help clear technical roadblocks”: Advise and assist App development teams with technical roadblocks such as performance challenges within a solution in key strategic initiatives
· Cost optimization identification: Engage with appropriate stakeholders to recommend or assess opportunities to drive cost efficiencies aimed at simplicity, configurability and eventual elimination of technical debt associated with Pmarmacy Services applications.

Day to day:
The Principal Solution Architect is accountable for the business solution designs for key strategic initiatives including (but not limited to) developing architectures that represent business, applications/integration, data, infrastructure, platform, and security architectures.
In this role you will act as the chief SME architect for a key strategic initiative within PSS IT tower leveraging significant enterprise experience in architecture and hands-on delivery of solutions to achieve business outcomes. This includes having the strong ability to look around the corner at emerging technologies and advise senior leadership around the strategic technical vision for the tower. You will play a key role in furthering the modernization journey for Pharmacy Services Segment (PSS) IT in alignment with the Enterprise IT strategy.
