Data Center Business Analyst

Location: Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), TX
Work Model: In Person – 5 Days/Week Onsite
Travel: Local DFW Data Center Locations as Needed
Duration: 6 Months + Extension
Bill Rate: $70–72/hr

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Business Analyst to support data center projects and operations. The Business Analyst will work closely with Project Managers, Data Center Operations, Facilities, Engineering, and other stakeholders to gather requirements, document processes, track project activities, and develop reporting and KPIs.

The ideal candidate should have experience supporting Data Center or IT Infrastructure projects, along with strong knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, DCIM tools, Microsoft Project, Visio, and Microsoft Office

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of Business Analyst experience supporting Data Center, Infrastructure, or Technology projects.
• Experience with Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools.
• Strong experience with JIRA and Confluence.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project, Visio, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong requirements gathering and documentation skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities independently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, or Operational Resiliency.
• Experience with Black Start planning/readiness.
• Understanding of data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, capacity management, and infrastructure dependencies.
• Experience working in large-scale enterprise data center environments.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical solutions.
• Create project documentation, process flows, MOPs, and release plans.
• Support project planning, scheduling, scope management, and status reporting.
• Create and manage JIRA stories, tasks, and action items.
• Maintain documentation using Confluence and Microsoft Office.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and KPI metrics.
• Support Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) tools and reporting.
• Assist with project financial tracking, forecasting, and reporting.
• Support Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, and Operational Resiliency activities.
• Assist with Black Start planning, recovery documentation, dependency mapping, and tabletop exercises.
• Prepare meeting minutes and track follow-up actions.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Operations, Facilities, Engineering, and business stakeholders.
