Summary
Aptask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a UX Researcher - Remote for a contract position with a Leading Technology Firm located in Menlo Park, CA, Seattle, WA, or New York, NY. This is a 6+ month contract opportunity.
In this role, you will support product and experience research across the client's family of products. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to help identify user needs, evaluate concepts and experiences, and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations. This is a temporary assignment covering a leave of absence.

In this role, you will support product and experience research across the client's family of products. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders to help identify user needs, evaluate concepts and experiences, and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations. This is a temporary assignment covering a leave of absence.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute end-to-end UX research using appropriate qualitative and/or quantitative methods (e.g., interviews, usability testing, diary studies, surveys, concept testing)
- Develop research plans, discussion guides, and study materials aligned to project goals
- Conduct analysis and synthesize findings into insights, frameworks, and recommendations, utilizing AI tools in each phase of the research workflow
- Present research findings to stakeholders in clear, concise deliverables (readouts, reports, and/or workshops)
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (e.g., Product, Design, Content, Data Science) to inform product direction and improve user experience
- Support rapid research cycles to inform iterative product development
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
- 10+ years of experience or 5+ years of experience conducting UX research or human-centered research (industry, consulting, or equivalent)
- Strong quantitative research skills designing, fielding, and analyzing large/complex surveys
- Core UX research craft: method selection, translating findings into actionable product/design recommendations
- Strong stakeholder influence with the ability to build relationships with and present to leadership
- Prior experience working with our client is required
Desired skills:
- Strong sense of curiosity; receptive to feedback; comfortable with ambiguity
- Vendor/supplier management, including giving performance feedback
- Mixed-method and qualitative depth
- Tracker build experience
- Familiarity with our client's AI and consumer/messaging domain
- AI native
