Senior Cognos Administrator

This role plays a key part in maintaining and modernizing the Cognos environment during this transition period.

Job Description

In this contingent resource assignment, you will consult on and participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Infrastructure Engineering, contributing to large-scale planning related to infrastructure deliverables. You will review and analyze infrastructure challenges that require in-depth evaluation of variable technical and operational factors, and contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues.

You will collaborate closely with client personnel in Infrastructure Engineering while applying a solid understanding of infrastructure functions, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements, with a specific focus on enterprise Cognos platform administration.

Key Responsibilities

· Serve as a Senior Cognos Administrator supporting enterprise BI environments

· Install, configure, and support Cognos on Windows-based infrastructure

· Support TM1 environments as part of Cognos administration

· Assist with migrating Cognos platforms into new data center environments

· Support onboarding and configuration of new Cognos users

· Analyze and resolve moderately complex infrastructure and platform issues

· Collaborate with infrastructure, analytics, and platform teams to ensure stability and compliance

Required Qualifications

· 4+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through:

· 3+ years of Senior-level Cognos Administration experience

· Hands-on experience installing and supporting Cognos on Windows

· Working knowledge of Apache

· Python coding experience for scripting and automation

· Experience using GitHub for version control and collaboration

· Strong understanding of Windows environments

· Basic understanding of networking concepts

Nice to Have:

· Experience supporting TM1 environments

· This role is administration-focused, not application development

· No need for a developer background

· Very technical interview process

· Interview process: 1 round and done

· Interviews are 30 minutes to 1 hour

· Preference for candidates in Concord, CA or Charlotte, NC
