Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced QA Tester / Quality Assurance Engineer with strong payments domain knowledge to join our 
quality engineering team. The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of hands-on QA experience with a strong understanding 
of payment processing, transaction life cycles, financial systems, and testing methodologies.

The candidate will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test strategies, identifying defects, 
validating payment-related functionality, and working closely with developers, business analysts, product owners
and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality applications.

Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts.
Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.
Test payment processing workflows, including payment initiation, authorization, capture, settlement, refunds, reversals, and chargebacks.
Validate payment transactions across different payment methods and channels.
Test APIs and integrations between payment systems, banking platforms, third-party processors, and internal applications.
Validate transaction data, payment statuses, error handling, and reconciliation processes.
Perform database validation using SQL queries.
Identify, document, track, and verify defects using tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.
Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot defects and determine root causes.
Participate in requirements reviews and provide QA input on functional and technical specifications.
Develop and maintain regression test suites.
Support release testing, production validation, and post-release verification.
Work with Agile/Scrum teams and participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
Analyze test results and provide clear QA status reports and release recommendations.
Contribute to improving QA processes, automation opportunities, and overall test coverage.
Required Qualifications
6+ years of professional Quality Assurance / Software Testing experience.
Strong experience with payments or financial services applications.
Strong understanding of the end-to-end payment transaction life cycle.
Experience testing payment processing systems, transaction platforms, or financial applications.
Strong knowledge of functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.
Experience with API testing using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured, or similar.
Strong SQL/database testing skills.
Experience with defect management and test management tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, Zephyr, or ALM.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Payments Domain Knowledge

Candidates should have experience with some or most of the following:
Credit/debit card payment processing
ACH and electronic payments
Payment authorization and settlement
Payment capture and refunds
Voids and reversals
Chargebacks and disputes
Transaction reconciliation
Payment gateways and payment processors
Merchant and customer transactions
Payment failures and decline scenarios
Fraud/risk validation
Transaction status and lifecycle validation
Financial transaction reporting
Third-party payment integrations
REST/SOAP APIs related to payment processing
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with test automation using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, Java, Python, or similar technologies.
Experience testing microservices and distributed applications.
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
Experience with cloud-based applications, preferably AWS or Azure.
Knowledge of PCI-DSS and payment security concepts.
Experience working with high-volume transaction systems.
Experience with performance or load testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner.
Experience with Kafka or other event-driven messaging platforms is a plus.
Experience with banking, fintech, merchant services, or financial technology applications is highly desirable.

Education
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
