Position Summary
4Consulting, Inc is seeking a qualified Software Quality Assurance Analysts and Testers to support technology consulting, application development, systems analysis, testing, data management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, or project delivery services for client projects. The selected candidate will perform duties consistent with the client’s project requirements and company delivery standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Analyze implementation requirements, transaction specifications, payer sheets, field mappings, and business rules to develop comprehensive test scenarios and traceability.
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, test scripts, test data, and regression coverage for pharmacy claim transaction changes.
- Validate claim transactions, adjudication outcomes, eligibility, coordination of benefits, pricing, accumulators, reject messaging, interfaces, and downstream impacts using functional, integration, UAT, parallel, and production testing.
- Execute SQL-based data validation, document and track defects, perform retesting, and collaborate with business, PBM, development, and testing teams through implementation and release readiness.

Education
|
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience
|
7+ years of experience in quality assurance, software testing, pharmacy claims testing, PBM environments, transaction validation, SQL-based data testing, and release validation.
|
|
Technical Skills
|
NCPDP D.0, NCPDP F6, SQL, Test Case Development, Functional Testing, Regression Testing, Integration Testing, API/Interface Testing, Defect Management, Test Data Validation
|
|
Business / Domain Skills
|
- Experience supporting pharmacy benefits management (PBM) and pharmacy claims environments, including claim submission, adjudication, eligibility, benefits, pricing, accumulators, coverage determination, and reject processing.
- Experience validating business rules, application workflows, interfaces, data, batch processes, and end-to-end transactions through functional, integration, regression, UAT, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience supporting NCPDP pharmacy transaction processing and standards implementations, including D.0/F6 transaction changes, payer sheets, field mappings, claim response messaging, trading partner processing, and downstream impacts.
- Experience validating healthcare claims and member data through SQL-based reconciliation, transaction comparison, production readiness, release validation, and post-implementation defect analysis across PBM and pharmacy systems.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting NCPDP standards migrations, including D.0 to F6 implementations, payer sheet validation, and transaction field mapping.
- Experience working with PBM subject matter experts, business analysts, developers, business users, and downstream application teams in complex implementation environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred; strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
