Position: Cockroach DB Database Administrator
Location: Bay Area, CA / Austin, TX
Employment Type: Contract

Need 10+Years Experience
Required Skills:
- 8+ years of Database Administration experience
- 2+ years of hands-on CockroachDB administration in production environments
- Expertise in CockroachDB cluster installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of distributed database architecture, replication, scalability, and high availability
- Query optimization, performance tuning, and capacity planning
- Backup & Recovery, Disaster Recovery, and database monitoring
- Database security, user management, and access controls
- Strong troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) skills
- Experience with Bash or Python scripting for automation (preferred)
- Experience supporting large-scale, mission-critical production environments
Preferred:
- Experience with high-volume distributed databases
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
