Summary

SAP SCM Functional Lead - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Location: Houston, Texas preferred; hybrid with onsite participation

Project: SAP GROW implementation - Plant Maintenance, Procurement and MRO Inventory

Employment Type: Contract

Position Overview

Resolve Tech Solutions is seeking an experienced SAP SCM Functional Lead to support an SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition (GROW with SAP) implementation for a Houston-area energy client. The consultant will lead the design and delivery of the procurement, materials management and MRO inventory workstreams while ensuring seamless integration with Plant Maintenance/Asset Management and the supporting Finance processes.

The ideal candidate will have direct SAP Public Cloud or GROW implementation experience and a strong understanding of maintenance-driven supply-chain processes in the energy, oil and gas, chemical or industrial manufacturing sectors.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the SAP SCM functional workstream covering Materials Management, procurement, inventory management and maintenance-related MRO processes.

Facilitate Fit-to-Standard workshops using SAP Best Practices and SAP Activate methodology.

Design and configure maintenance-driven requisition-to-purchase-order processes.

Support procurement of maintenance materials, spare parts and external contractor services.

Configure and validate material masters, purchasing groups, material groups, purchasing information records, storage locations and inventory movements.

Support MRO inventory processes, including goods receipts, goods issues, stock transfers, inventory visibility, spare-parts bills of material and standard MRP capabilities.

Ensure effective integration between SAP MM/Inventory, Plant Maintenance/Asset Management and the minimum enabling FI/CO scope.

Partner with the SAP Plant Maintenance Lead to design end-to-end processes from maintenance demand and work orders through procurement, receipt, consumption, invoice processing and settlement.

Provide functional leadership for data mapping, migration templates, mock loads and reconciliation of material, vendor and purchasing master data.

Develop functional specifications, configuration documentation, process flows, test scenarios and key-user enablement materials.

Lead unit testing, functional validation, integration testing, UAT readiness and defect resolution for the SCM workstream.

Manage functional decisions, dependencies, risks and scope while maintaining a clean-core, standard SAP Public Cloud solution.

Support cutover planning, production deployment, hypercare and transition into the ongoing SAP AMS support model.

Coordinate with client business leaders, maintenance planners, procurement personnel, warehouse teams, Finance stakeholders and other SAP workstream leads.

Required Qualifications

8+ years of SAP SCM functional consulting experience, with deep expertise in SAP MM, procurement and inventory management.

Experience leading at least one end-to-end SAP S/4HANA implementation.

Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition or GROW with SAP strongly preferred.

Strong understanding of maintenance-driven procurement, contractor-service procurement and MRO/spare-parts inventory processes.

Demonstrated integration experience across SAP MM, Inventory Management, Plant Maintenance/EAM and FI/CO.

Experience facilitating Fit-to-Standard workshops and driving adoption of SAP Best Practices.

Experience with master-data migration, testing, cutover and post-go-live support.

Ability to translate business requirements into practical, standardized SAP Public Cloud solutions.

Strong client-facing communication, workshop facilitation and functional leadership skills.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, approximately 25-week implementation.

Preferred Qualifications

Based in the Houston area and available for onsite workshops, testing and deployment activities.

Previous SAP GROW implementation experience.

Experience with SAP Fiori applications and embedded analytics for procurement and inventory.

Energy, LNG, oil and gas, chemical, refining or industrial asset-management experience.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition certification.

Experience transitioning an implementation into an SAP AMS or managed-support model.

Scope Clarification

This position is focused on maintenance-related procurement and MRO inventory. Broader enterprise sourcing transformation, advanced supply-chain planning, manufacturing, warehouse management and custom SAP development are not part of the current Phase 1 scope.
