Full Stack Python Engineer
W2 Contract
Pay Rate: $67 - $76 per hour
Location: Cupertino, CA - Remote
Job Summary:
We are looking for a hands-on Python full-stack engineer to help build and maintain internal services focused on data governance, privacy, and emerging AI-driven workflows. This role is engineering-first and is suited for someone who enjoys owning systems end-to-end, from writing code to deploying and operating it in production.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain Python-based backend services using frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI
- Develop APIs that support agent-based and automation-driven workflows
- Build and maintain lightweight frontend components, primarily using React
- Own deployments from development through production, including CI/CD pipelines
- Containerize services and deploy them to Kubernetes-based environments
- Monitor, maintain, and improve the reliability and availability of running services
- Work closely with the data platform and privacy teams to support data governance and privacy requirements
- Build and maintain internal tools and services that integrate with existing data registry systems
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Strong experience with Python in a production environment
- Experience building APIs using Flask, FastAPI, or similar frameworks
- Working knowledge of frontend development, with React preferred
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
- Hands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes
- Comfortable owning services end-to-end, including deployment and operational support
- Ability to work independently in a fast-changing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on AI-driven or agent-based systems
- Background in data governance, data platforms, or privacy-related systems
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools
- Experience supporting internal platforms or developer tooling
