Job Title: Systems Engineer

Job Location: Springfield, MA

Job Type: Contract

Job Overview:

Pay Range: $70.86hr - $75.86hr

Define PoT scope, success criteria, and test plans for automated mobile vulnerability scanning including agent-based, agentless, MDM-integrated, and API-driven approaches.
Evaluate tools for coverage, detection accuracy, scalability, device impact, privacy controls, and reporting fidelity.
Execute pilots across device populations to validate vulnerability detection, configuration compliance, and integration readiness.
Produce PoT outcomes including findings, risk analysis, cost benefit analysis, architecture decisions, and recommendations.
Build and manage mobile vulnerability lifecycle processes including discovery, assessment, prioritization, remediation, validation, and reporting.
Establish risk scoring models tailored for mobile environments.
Develop and enforce baseline security configurations for iOS, iPadOS, and Android platforms.
Implement compliance monitoring, drift detection, and corrective actions.
Build automation scripts and APIs for data normalization and enrichment.
Support change management and provide technical guidance to operations teams.

Requirements/Must Have:

Strong understanding of mobile OS security fundamentals including iOS, iPadOS, and Android security models.
Hands-on experience with mobile vulnerability management and compliance frameworks.
Experience with mobility scanning tools such as Qualys Mobile VMDR, Lookout, or equivalent.
Hands-on experience with MDM solutions such as Microsoft Intune, Workspace ONE, Jamf Pro, or equivalent.
Experience in enterprise integrations with SIEM, SOAR, and ITSM tools.
Knowledge of identity and access management concepts including conditional access, MFA, and device compliance.
Proficiency in scripting using PowerShell or Python and working with REST APIs, JSON, and OAuth.
Strong documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple workstreams effectively.

Experience:

5 to 8 plus years in cybersecurity or endpoint security.
2 to 4 plus years in mobile or UEM security, vulnerability management, or compliance engineering.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate with security and compliance teams to align platform posture with regulatory requirements.
Drive remediation efforts with engineering, mobility, and operations teams.
Validate remediation effectiveness through re-scans and compliance checks.
Translate security requirements into enforceable policies.
Implement and manage security controls across mobile environments.
Provide training and support for operational teams.

Qualification And Education:

Bachelor s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security Plus, CySA Plus, GIAC certifications, or equivalent.
Additional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or ITIL Foundation are preferred.
