Summary

MTSI is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with a TS/SCI clearance to provide support to a Government Office at WPAFB, Ohio. The engineer's primary focus will be to provide system engineering and test engineering support to multiple program teams. The individual will work with other PMs, Engineers, Security, and internal and external stakeholders to further the Government's acquisition strategy goals and objectives managed by AFLCMC.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in translating user requirements into system requirements, which will be used to design, develop, test, and evaluate systems, subsystems, and equipment for deployment.
  • Provide Systems Engineering support for technology and product acquisitions, including long-term planning, request for proposal (RFP) development, and technical oversight of ongoing projects.
  • Assess new capabilities in achieving system design requirements and specifications.
  • Evaluate system and subsystem design functions and improvements to protect Critical Program Information (CPI).
  • Assist with the development of requirements and technology needs into action plans and policies necessary to mature weapon systems acquisition development planning.
  • Perform technical analyses of existing and potential operational requirements, assist in developing system concepts, and conduct technological and trade-off study assessments of proposed designs.
  • Develop and review the overall system design baseline, including architecture and interoperability requirements.
  • Review specifications, including system, system segment, and equipment specifications, as well as Interface Control Documents (ICDs) involved in programs.
  • Support and conduct engineering performance, effectiveness, cost effectiveness, cost performance, lifecycle cost, producibility, maintainability, supportability, reliability, technical and schedule risk assessments, and scheduling trade-off studies.
  • Support and conduct systems analyses, including system design, design feasibility, and state-of-the-art assessments.
  • Support the development and evaluation of Integrated Master Plans (IMP), Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), and Systems Engineering Detail Schedule engineering cost estimates.
  • Evaluate system test plans and Test and Evaluation Master Plans, and participate in system, subsystem, and component testing.
  • Provide systems and subsystems integration support for the acquisition, development, and verification of systems and equipment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant experience fulfilling the above role and responsibilities with defense or intelligence electro-optic/infrared sensor subsystems
  • Goal-oriented with excellent people skills, ability to work in a team environment, strong work ethic and proactive in all manners related to the job
  • BS Electrical, Radar, Computer Science or other related Engineering degree.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of relevant DoD work experience.
  • Clear and effective oral and written communications skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • No less than three (3) years' experience in a SAP and/or SCI environment within the last five (5) years.
  • Possess an active Top Secret security clearance, based upon a Single Scope Background (SSBI or SBPR).
  • Must be eligible for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Programs (SAP) access
